Job Type: 1099 Contractor | 6-Month Project with Extension Possible
Compensation: $55–$65/hr (Consultant Pay Rate) | Experience Based

🔧 Role Summary:

Omega Consulting & Food Safety Services, LLC is seeking a detail-driven Automotive Quality Engineer to support our client engagements in the automotive and advanced manufacturing sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining quality documentation systems that support PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and IATF 16949 compliance.

This is a contract role that offers flexible work arrangements, travel opportunities, and the ability to grow with a high-impact consulting team serving national clients.

📌 Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain:

• Process Flow Diagrams
• Process FMEA
• Control Plans
• Work Instructions
• Inspection/Test Plans

• Assist in preparing PPAP documentation for client product launches

• Support APQP processes for new product development

• Conduct internal quality audits and prepare clients for IATF 16949 audits

• Collaborate with client teams on root cause analysis and corrective actions

• Interface with engineering, production, and QA/QC staff across sectors

🎓 Preferred Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in automotive or manufacturing quality engineering

• Familiarity with IATF 16949, AIAG Core Tools, and ISO 9001

• Strong skills in technical documentation and Microsoft Office / Excel

• Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes and quality principles

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred

💼 Consultant Status & Pay:

This role is offered as a 1099 independent contractor through Omega Consulting & Food Safety Services, LLC. Consultants will be paid between $55–$65/hr, depending on experience.
